How Do You Handle Patient Scheduling?
After a recent visit to a doctor’s office, I was told that I would be called when I was supposed to come in for my next shot. Weeks went by and I finally called them and they said, that no, it wasn’t time for me to come back yet. Two weeks later, I got a call asking why I had never turned up! It seems that they were ready for me to come for my shots some four weeks prior but no one had told me and the people I had been talking to on the phone had no clue who I even was. Patient scheduling and contact is perhaps one of the most important parts of any practice, and if you don’t have it down, you will be in for a lot of trouble.Patient scheduling is more than just getting as many people as possible through the front door, although that is of course terribly important, too! You have to set up follow-up appointments as much as a year in advance, you have to be able to set up automatic reminders, emails, mailings, and know when to order items for them. It is not something that should be done by sticking Post-It’s all over one’s desk. The scheduling of any office, particularly one that has to do with the health of patients, is terribly important.
By using a patient scheduling software such as ScheduleView, you will be much more likely to make sure that all patients are contacted when they are supposed to be, and that there are no missed appointments. By taking advantage of some of the latest technology like this software, you will be better able to meet the needs of all patients and make more of a profit by getting more patients in and taking care of them.Do You Need Help With Patient Scheduling? Is there a way to have a “recall” list so we are able to inform people of their year follow up appointment about a month in advance of their appointment?

Yes, you can put them on the waiting list, or else create a separate “provider” called “recall” and use that provider for viewing upcoming recalls for followup.
