It is very important that patients are not subjected to any undue stress.  One way to keep the stress levels down is to have a system in place that takes care of appointments.  Not only must it take care of appointments but it must execute this task smoothly.  A lot of stress can be added to sick patients if their appointment is not accurate.  A patient does not want to turn up for an appointment that has been allocated to someone else.  It wastes time and puts extra stress on both the patient and the medical professional in question.  In fact, getting a date or time wrong can throw out all the appointments for the rest of the day.
