It is very important that patients are not subjected to any undue stress. One way to keep the stress levels down is to have a system in place that takes care of appointments. Not only must it take care of appointments but it must execute this task smoothly. A lot of stress can be added to sick patients if their appointment is not accurate. A patient does not want to turn up for an appointment that has been allocated to someone else. It wastes time and puts extra stress on both the patient and the medical professional in question. In fact, getting a date or time wrong can throw out all the appointments for the rest of the day.

Almost every medical office out there is using patient scheduling software by now, but there are still a few offices that are still stuck in their old-fashioned pen and paper ways. Patient Scheduling Software
There are several different types of patient scheduling software packages on the market right now, but they are not all the same. Before you make your purchase, you should do your research and see what features each package has, and which one will work the best with your type of office.
There are a few key issues that should be investigated before you buy:
1. Does the software work with your existing database? Some patient scheduling software is not “plug and play”, which could cause substantial problems for your office staff. In particular, you don’t want to have to re-input all of your patient’s data, just to get them into your scheduling system. The best software will allow you to pull the data from your existing sources and integrate the system fully.

Doctor Appointment Schedule Software
If you are a doctors office and are looking for appointment schedule software, you’ve found the right place. ScheduleVIEW, appointment scheduling software was started based on the feedback we had for doctors offices using other scheduling software programs that wanted more choices and options.
Almost 10 years later, ScheduleVIEW has evolved into one of the most robust and cost effective medical scheduling software programs available today. WHy? Here are some main reasons:
1- We adapt and evolve our physician scheduling software to meet the current changing needs of the medical marketplace. For example, we’ve recently added the ability to scan and manage your documents into our system with our optional document manager. Scan insurance cards; notes; prescriptions, and anything else into our appointment software.
2-We let you use the medical terms you are familiar with. Want to call your doctors , “Doctors”? You can do that… want to call your therapists “therapists”? You can do that. We let you define the terms you’re most comfortable with.
3- HIPAA security. Many doctor appointment schedule software programs are still not HIPAA ready; meaning anyone can get into the software program and poke around and get information about your patients without security. ScheduleVIEW.com pioneered user security well before HIPAA was even being considered.
4- Superbill\Encounter form creation. We give you the ability to create your own superbill and merge patient data from our database onto the form. This means you have a document ready to hand to your biller or billing service so they can accurately bill for your services.
5- Revenue calendar - you’ll love this and all the other reports we give you in the PLUS version of ScheduleVIEW. The monthly revenue calendar reports lets you view in advance the amount of charges you have booked in your calendar. Quickly see what days\weeks need more services scheduled to even out your cash flow.

If you have ever arrived at a doctor’s or dentist’s office only to find out that they “lost” your appointment or that the clinician you were supposed to meet with isn’t there because of a clerical error, you know the frustrations that a lack of proper patient scheduling software can bring about. By not having your act together on the scheduling side, you will see an immediate drop off in the number of patients you have and the grumbling of the few patients that do decide to stay will be unbearable. No clinic or hospital should be without some form of electronic patient scheduling software these days. You have to have it just to keep up with everyone else. People expect to have their appointments kept, and they also want someone on the other end of the phone to be able to quickly find open appointments for them. If the person working the scheduling “book” doesn’t know what they are doing or they are actually using paper and pen, it can simply become not worth it for the patient and they may go elsewhere.
